Mr. Slye founded Business Evolution Consulting to address the growing needs of organizations to become 'eco-friendly,' while continuing to reduce their costs and deliver high quality services and products. He believes that a huge void exists between business minded thinking and those who push environmentalism. As a result, Mr. Slye describes himself as 'a businessman with a heart for the environment, not the other way around.' Therefore, by combining his business background and commitment to the environment, Jeff provides a powerful and unique perspective on environmental issues and objectives of organizations.
His environmental interests extend beyond his professional career and include winter snow sports in Lake Tahoe, trekking in Nepal, backpacking the Fjords of Norway, fly fishing the streams of Ireland , and scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef .
Mr. Slye's background prior to founding Business Evolution Consulting was in business development and international affairs. He was cum-laude graduate from UCLA with an emphasis on international relations. After co-founding TCS, a high-tech communications firm, in the early 90s, Mr. Slye lived in London heading up the company's European business development efforts. Upon returning to the San Francisco Bay Area, Mr. Slye held positions with LogicTier and Computer Associates.

Mr. Tilkemeier has over 30 years experience in resort development, management, and real estate sales; and a lifetime of experience appreciating and respecting both the natural and built environment. Erik's professional experience includes hotel operations, resort condominium management, real estate development and sales, historic property redevelopment, and social sustainability consulting. He has first hand experience implementing sustainability initiatives as a senior executive.
The birth of his first grandchild in 2008 has inspired Erik to apply his business acumen towards assuring that his grandson, and his children, will have the same opportunities to enjoy the environment as he did. His focus is on business development and project management for Business Evolution Consulting.
The son of one of Vail, Colorado's early developers, Erik grew up on the slopes in the winters and in the backcountry in the summers. An accomplished skier and avid fly fisherman, Erik developed a passion for the environment at an early age. His interest in resort operations and architecture led him to the University of Utah, where he earned a degree in Commercial Recreation Management with an emphasis in Resort Development and Management.
Monique Lee is a green building consultant focusing on extensive knowledge and continuous research on retrofitting existing buildings to conserve energy, water and other resources as well as improving the inhabitant's comfort. She works with property owners and their agents with a three level process that can be phased over years or completed within months. This process is initiated with a free consultation at the client/prospect building site.
Monique values her relationships with clients and meeting their unique needs. She is passionate about spreading sustainability knowledge and making it easily accessible to all. She believes that there is a simple way to say, do, or achieve almost anything. She specialize in breaking down the complex elements of sustainability and putting the information in plain English.
Monique has over 12 years of experience in architecture, 9 years of green building and conservation work project work, and a degree in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University. Her research has been published in Urban Land Institute, Retail Construction, and an AIA White Paper.
Mr. Longhurst is a principal of Sustainable Hospitality and is a strategic partner of Business Evolution Consulting. Mr. Longhurst focuses on sustainability and environmental responsibility in the hospitality industry and has consulted on organizational change and cultural transformation in an array of industries for the past decade. Longhurst has a strong passion for the environment and believes strongly that creating a sustainable world is the only positive option open to us and businesses can benefit and be at the forefront of this change. His experience in the hospitality industry has included supplying goods and services for hotel remodels and new construction, project management and strategic planning, working with owners, architects and designers. Longhurst was born in England, grew up in South Africa and has been living in Boulder, CO for the past 14 years.
Mr. Attinger has more than ten years experience in sustainable business strategy, product marketing, and corporate training, with deep background in the Silicon Valley high-tech sector. He consults with companies to design, market, and execute sustainability programs, and has spoken on CSR at companies, cities, non-profits, and universities. Attinger currently leads a working group on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in the electronics sector, and recently published an article on EPR. Steve has worked with both startup and Fortune 500 companies, including Abbott Diagnostics, Dell, Gap, HP, Intel, Mervyn's, NEC, Oracle, Schwab, and Silicon Graphics. He holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio School of Management, and a BA in Communication Studies, focused in Marketing.
Todd is focused on crafting profitable business strategies that ensure environmental and social responsibility. His experience includes developing climate change mitigation strategies, carbon offset programs, and employee environmental education initiatives for several Fortune 500 companies including Gap Inc, DuPont, and American Electric Power. His most recent work with Business Evolution Consulting includes devising eco-friendly strategies and conducting sustainability research for the National Restaurant Association and Kimpton Hotels. In addition, Todd is a co-founder of ClimOzone – a comprehensive system that brings unrealized verified emission reductions to the voluntary carbon market. He has an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio School of Management and a BA in Integrative Biology - Environmental Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
As a partner in The Maher Group, LLC, Pat is responsible for the initiation of successful environmental programs for his clients. Pat evaluates an organization's facilities, recommends eco-friendly products and procedures, conducts energy audits, reviews an organization's carbon footprint, and develops opportunities for cost savings along with other benefits.
Previously, Pat was with Marriott International, Inc. for 23 years. He joined Marriott in 1986 as an Electrical Engineer in the Architecture and Construction department where he was responsible for designing 89 new hotels. In 1992, he transitioned to the role of Regional Director of Engineering for the Western Region. After two years in that role, Pat became Vice President of the Northeast Regional Office until his appointment to Senior Vice President of Engineering in 1999. He was responsible for the development and implementation of engineering standard operating procedures, training programs, regulatory compliance, environmental programs and facilities renovation for over 3,100 hotels worldwide. Along with Engineering, Pat led the Program Management Organization that focused on structured project management, work plan development, project communication and sustainability. Additionally, he oversaw all new brand and product initiatives that developed into new business opportunities. Prior to this, Pat worked for a private firm where he was responsible for directing all electrical engineering and design for the Baltimore Convention Center expansion.
